My First Etsy Treasury of 2012

The last time I created an Etsy treasury was in mid November. I guess I became overwhelmed with the holidays, working and taking care of my mom and pretty much vanished from the land of Etsy.

I started 2011 with two big whopping sales and ended with five. I really would like to do much better than that this year. I don't think my items are hideous but maybe they're not functional. On the other hand, a plastic mustache on a stick doesn't seem functional either, yet it has been very popular on Etsy and people seem to buy things like that. Either, I am totally out of touch or I am out of touch! I must be out of touch.

I decided to participate tonight in my EAWT team treasury challenge. Here's the treasury I created. Now lets see how many views, comments, and hearts I get. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to be a finalist in the challenge! But, the point of sharing this collection is so that you can see some really cool vintage or vintage inspired handmade items! Check them out and maybe you'll find something you really want or would like to give someone as a gift (sorry but no plastic mustaches on a stick here).

  3. Love the treasury. I know that I would not buy a plastic mustache! hehehehehe

Wendy, an Etsy treasury is a collection of items from various shops who sell items on etsy.com :-)

  4. Thanks ladies!

Wendy, as Mad said, an Etsy treasury is a compilation of handmade items of Etsy sellers kind of in the form of a dream shopping list. It is a way to promote the work of others while also getting yourself "out there" as a seller. Both Cat and Mad have fabulous shops featuring handmade crotcheted items and handmade jewelry, for example.

  6. Great treasury! I commented and clicked. How do you post your treasury in that box format? I recently posted one on my blog, but it looks different. Your work is lovely!

  7. Thank you Carrie, for stopping by and for clicking and commenting on the treasury! I use the Etsy Treasury Widget at www.craftcult.com. If you click their logo on the bottom right of the treasury, it will take you to the widget page. You then just enter your shop name, Then select lists made by (your shop should be the first on the pull down menu), pick a size (I use medium, snapshot is used in step four, and then step five is get widget. Once you get that, you'll have code to copy and paste in your blog! It's pretty cool.

Your work is lovely too! I was reading earlier your blog post about photographing your work and I love the results. I'll be commenting soon!

  8. I've only just seen this post. Kicking myself for not commenting.
I hope all is well. We haven't heard from you lately. You've got lots on your plate I know but you've got me worried.

  9. Thank you Cat! I'm doing OK. Seem to have lost track of the month of February and it seems that March is quickly slipping by. I've attempted several times to update here, but have not completed my posts. Feeling I'm in a bit of rut lately and trying to escape that.
